My Oscar Journey: The Social Network

This movie is amazing! I loved this movie for many different reasons; It's funny, creative, revealing, and paints a wonderful picture of how Facebook came to be. I personally am partial to The Social Network over the movie that did win Best Picture, The King's Speech, because I think this movie defined our current generation much better. This captured the spirit of the times. I cannot recommend this movie highly enough!

Midnight in Paris

Midnight in Paris is a movie I have been wanting to see for a long time. I finally saw it yesterday with my mom, and it was absolutely magical! It is about an incredibly nostalgic writer, who longs for life in the 1920s in Paris. He tells his horrible fiance that he is going for walks every night, but every night at midnight, he is transported back to 1920s Paris, where he meets legends such as the Fitzgeralds, Hemingway, and Dali. This movie takes you to a wonderfully glamorous world. I can't wait til it comes out of DVD so I can buy it.

A Duchess in Canada

The Duchess of Cambrige, aka Princess Kate, has dominated the fashion scene in Canada this past week. Kate has killed it in every single outfit she has worn. She even earned bonus points for wearing Canadian designers a few times. She absolutely cannot get any more beautiful, and I am in constant awe of her poise, grace, and impeccable fashion sense. I mean, that hat! I'm in love. And just think, this is only Canada. Next stop, Los Angeles.

My Oscar Journey: Inception

I saw Inception a long time ago, when it was still out in theaters. Just like everyone else, I loved it. It was totally different and revolutionary with all the CGIs that it used. It was definately a visual treat. Yes, you had to pay close attention during the whole movie or risk being completely lost, but if you stuck with it, your mind was blown. After seeing this movie, you are left with the question: "What??!?!?" But in a good way, mind you. I have sinces watched Inception a number of times since then, and every time I see something new in it, realize something I hadn't seen before, and that is what makes this movie great.

Hats Off!

Hat lovers rejoice! These are the many hats of Kate Middleton, and there are plenty more where they came from. The future princess is bringing headwear back in a big way. At official events, Kate is rarely photographed without some elaborate piece adorning her head. As a huge fan of Miss Middleton, I absolutely adore these hats, and think she is one of the loveliest people there is and will make a perfect princess! Keep up the good work Kate, hats off to you!

Sizzling in Spanish Vogue

Adriana Lima is a goddess. She is absolutely GORGEOUS and is so breathtaking in this spread she did for Vogue Espana about nine months ago. She is such a bombshell, and it really shows in these pictures. The amazing thing is that she gave birth to her first child just six months before these pictures were taken, inspiring immeasurable amounts of jealousy among women all over the world. WERK!!
